TurIA Reviews Terms of Service
Specific terms · Version 1.1 · Effective 28 September 2026
These terms govern the use of TurIA Reviews, the service provided by Turia Core Limited to collect, display and certify a business’s reviews. They supplement the TurIA Terms and Conditions of Contracting and Use, the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which is available on request at support@turia.tech. Anything not covered by these terms is governed by those documents. In the event of a conflict on a matter specific to TurIA Reviews, these terms prevail.
1. Provider and definitions
The service is provided by Turia Core Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong with registration number 80323428 and registered office at Unit B, 12/F, Hang Seng Causeway Bay Building, 28 Yee Wo Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong (“TurIA”).
- Service: TurIA Reviews, available at reviews.turia.tech, including its dashboard, widgets, review pages and certificates.
- Client: the company or professional that signs up for the Service. The Service is intended for business use, not for consumers.
- End user: a customer of the Client who receives a review request or writes a review.
- External platforms: the third-party services from which reviews are obtained, such as Google, TripAdvisor, Facebook, Booking, Civitatis, GetYourGuide, Viator or Klook, and any added later.
- Own review: a review that an End user writes on the Client’s review page within the Service.
- Widget: the code the Client adds to its website to display reviews, the badge, the seal or other formats.
- Seal and Certificate: the trust badges and the public page described in section 8.
2. The service
TurIA Reviews allows the Client to:
- download the public reviews of the listings and profiles it connects on External platforms;
- display them on its websites through widgets, choose which ones are shown and reply to them where the platform allows it;
- request reviews from its customers by email or WhatsApp and collect own reviews;
- translate reviews automatically and display trust seals and a public certificate.
2.1. How reviews are obtained
TurIA uses each platform’s official interfaces where they exist and the Client authorises them. Otherwise, TurIA or its providers read the information that the platform publishes openly. How often reviews are downloaded depends on the plan.
2.2. Reliance on third parties
External platforms may change their terms, interfaces or content, restrict access or remove reviews at any time. TurIA does not guarantee that a platform will remain compatible, or that the downloaded data will be complete or up to date at all times. TurIA is not affiliated with or sponsored by the External platforms, and their trademarks belong to their owners.
2.3. Changes to the service
TurIA may add, change or remove features to improve the Service. If it removes an essential feature of a paid plan during a period that has already been paid for, it will give reasonable prior notice.
3. Account, plans and free trial
3.1. Sign-up
The Client must provide accurate information, keep it up to date and keep its credentials safe. Each company must have its own account. The person who signs up confirms that they are authorised to enter into this agreement on behalf of the company.
3.2. Plans
The Service offers a free plan (Free) with reduced features and limits, and annual paid plans (Basic, Pro and Agency) that differ mainly in the number of websites or domains on which the Service can be used. The features, limits and prices in force are those published on reviews.turia.tech at the time of purchase. The Agency plan allows the Service to be used on third-party websites for which the Client is responsible towards TurIA.
3.3. 7-day free trial
The Client may try a paid plan for 7 days. A card must be added to start the trial, in order to verify the account. No charge is made during the trial. When it ends, if the Client has not subscribed, the account automatically moves to the Free plan, keeping its settings and reviews, with that plan’s limits. Only one trial is allowed per company.
4. Payments, renewal, cancellation and refunds
- Payment. Paid plans are billed annually in advance, in US dollars (USD), by card through TurIA’s payment provider. Prices do not include any applicable taxes.
- Renewal. The subscription renews automatically for another year unless the Client cancels it before the renewal date. TurIA will send an email reminder 7 days before each renewal.
- Plan changes. Upgrades take effect immediately and the prorated difference for the remaining period is charged. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
- Cancellation. The Client may cancel from the dashboard or by writing to support@turia.tech. The paid plan remains active until the end of the paid period, after which the account moves to the Free plan.
- Refunds. Periods that have already started are not refunded, except in the event of a billing error or where the law requires it.
- Non-payment. If a payment cannot be collected, TurIA will notify the Client. If it is not settled within 14 days, the account will move to the Free plan.
5. Sources and reviews: the Client’s obligations
The Client undertakes to:
- connect only listings, profiles and pages of its own business, or of businesses it is authorised to manage;
- comply with the terms and policies of each External platform, including those on reviews and on the use of their content and trademarks;
- comply with the consumer protection and unfair competition laws of the countries where it operates, in particular those governing the publication of reviews and the information on how they are verified.
The following are prohibited:
- creating, buying, commissioning or importing fake reviews, or reviews written by the business itself or by people connected to it;
- offering incentives in exchange for reviews where the platform or the law prohibits it;
- altering the text, rating, author or date of reviews, or attributing one business’s reviews to another;
- using the selection of visible reviews to give consumers a misleading picture of the business.
The Client may hide reviews in its widgets but may not modify them. For each review, the Service shows the platform it comes from.
6. Review requests
- The Client decides who receives requests and is responsible for having a legal basis to contact each End user by email or WhatsApp, and for informing them in its own privacy policy.
- The Client will not send requests to people who have not been its customers or who have objected to receiving them. Each request includes a way to stop receiving them.
- Requests are sent on the Client’s behalf from the addresses and numbers enabled by TurIA, within the monthly limits of each plan.
- The Client is responsible for ensuring that the content and settings of its requests comply with the policies of the External platforms on which it invites customers to post.
7. Own reviews
- They are written by End users on the Client’s review page. End users agree that their name and review may be shown on the Client’s website and materials.
- The “Verified review” label means that the review comes from a request sent by the Client to a person registered as its customer. TurIA does not independently check that the purchase or service took place.
- The Client may hide or reply to own reviews, but may not edit them.
- TurIA may remove reviews that are unlawful or offensive, that contain third parties’ personal data or that are spam.
- The author of an own review may ask for it to be removed by writing to support@turia.tech. TurIA will inform the Client and remove it.
8. Trust seals and public certificate
8.1. What they are and how they are earned
Seals are badges that TurIA calculates automatically from the reviews of the connected sources. They cannot be bought or edited. The current levels are:
Seals are recalculated at every download, so they may go up, go down or disappear. TurIA may adjust the criteria by publishing them in advance.
8.2. Permitted use
While its account is active and meets the criteria, the Client may display the seal on its websites, emails, social media and printed materials, using the widget or the images generated by the Service. The Client may not alter the seal (colours, text, logo or proportions), show a level other than the current one, or use it for another company, product or website.
8.3. Withdrawal of the seal
TurIA may suspend or withdraw the seal and the certificate if it detects signs of fake or purchased reviews, of listings connected without authorisation, or of negative reviews being hidden to change the level. It may also do so when the account is cancelled or fees are not paid. TurIA will tell the Client the reason and, where possible, give it the opportunity to explain.
8.4. Public certificate
Each Client has a public certificate page on reviews.turia.tech showing its level, average rating, connected channels, the criteria it meets and its visible reviews. The page can only be reached through its link and is not offered to search engines by default. The Client authorises TurIA to publish it while its account is active.
9. Widgets, structured data and translations
- The Client will only install widgets on websites it owns or legitimately manages, within the limits of its plan.
- Widgets and seals always include the TurIA brand (“Reviews by TurIA”, “Verified by TurIA”). The Service does not offer white-labelling and the Client may not hide the brand.
- Where the plan includes it, the Service generates structured data for search engines. Each search engine decides whether and how to use it: TurIA does not guarantee any particular appearance in search results. The Client should review each search engine’s guidelines.
- Automatic translations may contain errors. In case of doubt, the original text of the review prevails.
10. Intellectual property and the TurIA brand
- Reviews from External platforms belong to their authors or to those platforms. TurIA processes them on the Client’s behalf in order to display them, and the Client is responsible for how it uses them.
- The Client grants TurIA a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, translate and display its content (own reviews, name, logo and texts) solely to provide the Service, including the public certificate. TurIA will only mention the Client as a customer reference with its permission.
- The software, design, widgets, seals, certificate and the TurIA brand belong to Turia Core Limited. The Client receives a limited, non-exclusive and revocable right to use them only within the elements generated by the Service.
11. Acceptable use and suspension
The Client may not resell the Service without prior agreement, try to get around the limits of its plan, extract data from the Service by automated means, overload it, reverse engineer it or use it for unlawful purposes. TurIA may suspend the account, in whole or in part, if the Client breaches these terms, informing it of the reason.
12. Availability and support
TurIA will use reasonable efforts to keep the Service and the widgets continuously available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. It may carry out maintenance, giving notice where possible. Unless expressly agreed, the Service does not include a service level agreement (SLA). Support is provided by email at support@turia.tech.
13. Liability
- TurIA is not responsible for the content of reviews, for the decisions of External platforms or search engines (removal of reviews, changes of access, blocks or penalties), or for the consequences of how the Client uses the Service.
- TurIA’s total liability to the Client is limited to the amounts the Client has paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it. TurIA is not liable for indirect damages or loss of profits. These limitations do not apply in cases of wilful misconduct or where the law does not allow them.
- The Client will hold TurIA harmless from third-party claims arising from its content, from connecting listings it is not authorised to manage, from requests sent without a legal basis or from breaches of the policies of External platforms.
14. Data protection
- TurIA processes the Client’s account data as controller, in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
- For End users’ data (review requests and own reviews), TurIA acts as processor on behalf of the Client, who is the controller, in accordance with the DPA.
- TurIA uses hosting, messaging, translation, review collection and payment providers, which act as sub-processors with the safeguards set out in the DPA.
- After closing its account, the Client has 30 days to request an export of its data. After that period, TurIA will delete it, except for data it must keep by law.
15. Term and termination
The agreement lasts while the account is active. The Client may close its account at any time. TurIA may terminate the agreement for a serious breach of these terms, with prior notice except in urgent or unlawful cases. On termination, the widgets stop showing reviews and the seal and certificate are withdrawn.
16. Changes to these terms
TurIA may update these terms by publishing the new version with its date. If the change is substantial, TurIA will notify the Client by email at least 30 days in advance. If the Client does not agree, it may cancel before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service afterwards means accepting it.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Disputes are submitted to the courts of Hong Kong, as provided in the TurIA Terms and Conditions of Contracting and Use.
